    Alert Strong storms...

My wife is very methodical about planning our travel, especially going thru the plains and along I70/I25 where the summer storms come out of nowhere. Last year she had us pull off on a nice side road and wait 2 hours. We missed large hail and strong straight line winds. Got a decent shot of...

Resolved Back at Cummins for repairs...again

No one in the RV industry that is on the manufacturing or service side cares a single bit about QC. Edit: to make exception to the newcomers to the industry that should be given a fair chance. I am thinking specifically of Lightship and @turbopilot ’s ongoing blog that seems to be a breath of...

It’s called irony. You predicted the future not knowing how right you where!!!

What are your biggest pet peeves at the campground?

I had an interesting thing happen at a campground. It was around 3 am someone had the nerve to knock on my door. Rather loudly. I would have been real upset if I wasn't already awake, practicing my drums. Still--the nerve of some people.

New to Forum w a question on tow rating

Older ones make great toads. I sure hope the auto industry makes up for the gap that Honda and Subaru have created by leaving the flat tow market.

New to Forum w a question on tow rating

My 2019 Newmar Canyon Star has a very limited tow capacity, same as yours. When looking at new vehicles the best option for us was the Buick Encore GX AWD. This weighs less than 4k, and is easily setup for towing. It’s a great car all around. I did the towbar installation myself. Here is a...

    Grey water tank

Of course, humans can also vary with answers. Take discussions regarding Spartan vs Freightliner, proper tire pressure, when to change tires, and many other topics. We all have unique expectations and experiences. Forums seem to be the best method to gather information and to collaborate based...

LightShip 4 Now Starting Customer Evaluation

Of course your formula is the most accurate. For my current inventory of Diesel pushers, 1 ton dually and various large trailers, approximate satisfies curiosity. In all seriousness though, I like the approach @turbopilot is taking because that will definitely be a conversation starter.

Add to the discussion with the alternate (but approximate) formula: FD = 1/4 AV^2

    When to replace tires

I agree, front tires get replaced sooner than rear. Even with retroband, it’s not worth the trouble of a steer axle tire blowout. I personally would hit the 6 year mark for replacement based on DOT codes.

    Semi Trucks and Speed

It’s interesting that they put such detailed information on their website. Never would have thought so. And even with that limit in place they are still the worst truck drivers on the road.

    Semi Trucks and Speed

there are plenty of independent trucks without the limit. We see an abundance of cattle, grain, and other farm related in the west and south central US. These trucks appear to prefer 80mph no matter what the weather is.
