Newmar wired the Magnum AGS system well for this. The problem, which Neal addressed is knowing that you have to 1) have it the AGS Temp=ext. This means it isn’t looking for a thermocouple reading…it is looking for an external trigger. What external trigger??? Well…you know the control...
I’m used to the ME-RC or ME-ARC controls. If the inverter charger control allows you to turn the charger OFF…the engine isn’t running (no alternator supply) …then removing the house catastrophic fuse will likely cut out the entire DC system. Minimize the load when doing this to prevent a lot of...
I do think that a surge in the AC side of the house could cause a surge on the dc side thru the charge circuitry. This would be a non-event for most dc related resources. However, microprocessor controlled items are very susceptible to these surges. Even dc circuits with relay coils…when...
Unless his house has more than one catastrophic fuse…or the house disconnect has fried…I’m unaware of a way a portion of the house is dc powered and another part is not. It’s easy to trace with a voltmeter… if you know the wiring route. I can only speak of my Ventana…but the DC power flows…...
Good stuff. Finally got around to I stalling the new E618 EEZTire. It went very well. I ordered the booster at the same time...and swapped it out with my old TST booster. I had put the project off for a while because I wanted to 3d print a RAM Mount Ball adapter for thr display head. Glad...
Valid question. Not sure there is a correct answer. It may be as simple as why do they color Pos and Neg with RED&BLACK or BLACK&WHITE?
Standards go a long way toward reducing the time it takes a technician to correctly identify the wiring architecture and do work without wasting a lot of...
With only two batteries 100% of the current goes thru that connecting wire. The wire should be rated for the ampacity of the catastrophic fuse used on your coach. What it the fuse ampacity?
Placing a shunt between the two batteries isn't a common practice.
The shunt is normally installed...
If you like Angel's Envy rum cask...you may want to try a sipping rum.
Ron Zacapa Centenario 23yo. This is a Whisky Drinkers Rum. Perfectly aged and smooth. Lots of special notes from the sugar cane.
Don't leave it sitting out for people to mix with coke...agghhhhh!!!
Macallan 15 yo is purportedly King Charles' favorite. That is the one whiskey that burns all the way down to the stomach. I suppose it would be a good thing when it's sub freezing temperatures. Not a Florida friendly spirit.
Might be the burnt wood byproducts...
If you like Moonshine...might be worth a trip to Edgefield, SC. Carolina Moon Distilleries' Rabbit Spit is probably one of the smoother offerings I have sampled. I have their 116 proof clear and 80 proof Peach on hand.
When we went...we stayed at White Acres in Bardstown, and Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
We are going to try Elkhorn Park in Frankfort on our next approach.
You'll have to talk to my better half. She is the organizer.
What you do will depend on how much time you have. Folks with a time crunch may find the Limo tours a great way to go. They hit 3 or more distilleries each day with a lunch stop along the way. I would recommend anyone going to 3...
Thanks Renee.
I took mine off our TST. I am getting rid of the TST system. I cannot read the display when driving in bright sunlight. And really don't like the plastic quill depressors in the sensors. So, gonna go with a new color display EEZ Tire system... Hope it is easier to read in...
Here's the BIM
https://www.precisioncircuitsinc.com/product/battery-isolation-manager/
So...it just depends on who makes it. Intellitec v. Precision Circuits. They are designed to do the same thing overall...but may be slightly different in how they are set and packaged.
Here's the B.I.R.D.
Bi‐directional Isolator Relay Delay or B.I.R.D.® is a core piece of DC Managment Systems that
includes both a coach and a chassis battery. Its has 3 primary functions:
1) Bridging two battery banks together when a charging source is present from either one.
2) Isolating the...
BIM and BIRD are two abbreviations used by the two manufacturers. One call theirs one the and the other uses the other.
They are basically Bi-directional battery isolation devices. Bi-directional in that the alternator can charge the House, and the Inverter can charge the chassis...when the...
