    Question Digital Clamp Meter

If you were measuring on the house side of your Li-BIM...you might not get anything. It has to meet it's program parameters to close the connection.

    Question Digital Clamp Meter

The thing I was reading was the alternator. No shunt there. The reason? When driving...and our little A/C...reassignment switch set for Inverter... I wanted to see how much the alternator was being taxed/helping out while driving with the Air Conditioner ON. It was enlightening. I would...

FYI Is old oil OK to use?

He's got a point... although...the technology we had back in 1998 took good care of my ISB for over 200,000 miles.

    Question Digital Clamp Meter

They do flake out. I haven’t pursued it…but one of my meters won’t let me hard set resolution..keeps auto-ranging and displaying errant numbers. But seems to work when testing something. I just paired it again with my phone..and it displayed the values there perfectly.

FYI Is old oil OK to use?

I found a statement by valvoline that their oil has a shelf life of 5 years. I'm betting much longer...but it probably quells complaints that they purchased oil that didn't have a recent mfg. date.

Transaxle Oil Change. Fourth try is a charm???

So, I enjoy doing my own annual maintenance on our 2016 Newmar Ventana. I have the tools, generally, to make the work go well, for the most part. The one task I kept saying to myself..."There has to be a better way!" ... was transaxle oil changes. I started on the second year buying gallon...

    Question Digital Clamp Meter

Logging is da bomb! I like it too...when I check the Jeep. Clamp the meter on a cable, sit inside vehicle and read on phone while depressing accelerator...

    Question Digital Clamp Meter

Ali express has it the cheapest. It takes a different app that the other one I mentioned. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255801016549563.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt

    Question Digital Clamp Meter

There are a bunch of variations of these on Amazon. All in the same ballpark cost wise.

    Question Digital Clamp Meter

Mine worked for data logging. I clamped it back in the chassis battery compartment, and added a bit of tape to make sure it couldn't come off. I logged into the device with the phone app...and laid the phone back my the washer and dryer in the rear bathroom while we drove. I was able to...

    Question Digital Clamp Meter

Rich, Not sure mine is much better…it was around $50 on Amazon. I wanted the same…data logging while driving via Bluetooth. Also, I liked that it does temperature and capacitance…and has the range of AC and DC measurements likely on an RV.

Question Electric water heater not working

Probably the easiest step in the troubleshooting line...measure the resistance of the element, if it fails...replace it.

Question Electric water heater not working

Some water heaters have a switch on the unit itself. It's a quick way to interrupt power to the heating element, helpful when draining the unit, winterizing, or replacing an anode. If you are experiencing this after service, perhaps it was left turned off. Yours may or may not have the...

Air Brake Plunger Protector for Motorhome

Excellent! I couldn't tell if maybe it wouldn't fit as designed. Good to know it works!! Yeah the clip on model is my go to now that we aren't camping with pets and don't have any small children running around. I do resort to the padlock version if I am going to be under the coach...

    RVing with E-Bikes

E-bikers emit less greenhouse gases during respiration. (Leg muscles use more oxygen...and produce more CO2) There is just no winning... I think if I added up all the other batteries...Chassis, House, Flashlights, Remotes, Clamp Meters, CO and Smoke detectors, Safe, non-contact thermometer...

Air Brake Plunger Protector for Motorhome

Wow, looks like ou have it on backwards...the entire unit is supposed to be behind the square end. I see it is in the recess. That recess is there to clear the mounting collar nut that secures the brake valve to the dash panel. You may need a remixed design to match your brake valve handle.

    Ventana shower issue

https://a.co/d/06WMMigq Neal turned us on to the Moen Adler a very long time ago. The pressure compensating valve kept temperature well regulated while showering... vs. the Cold Hot...and constantly trying to adjust the temperature while showering. Recently, we had a random water pump...
