    Endless Caverns RV Park Virginia

We tried to get into the Luray KOA but they were sold out. The wife is currently looking at some of the Harvest Hosts. She loves her wine. :-).

    Question 2024 Dutchstar fuel economy

...with my answer, "There is nothing cheap about traveling in a motorhome". We're leaving this morning for 4 days staying at various Harvest Hosts locations in the Texas Hill Country Winery areas. Whether I get 5mpg or 15mpg, we're still going. I truly dread the day I have to hang up the...

    Ideas please, ty :)

Try Harvest Hosts. I haven't used it much but I have a friend that travels between Phoenix and Coeur d'Alene Idaho and he uses it for his trips and different routes https://harvesthosts.com/

    Interstate 10 through West TX

Welcome to RVForums @1Tulip. For safety I always recommend paying the small fee at a safe campground or also consider Harvest Hosts.

Not camping in public camp grounds

Harvest host (affiliated with boondockers welcome now) is also an option.

    Thoughts on Harvest Hosts

We just got back from our long trip and used them for 2 day stays. Yes we did park on grass and it was mostly Boondocking, but we stayed at cute little houses with farms. You had fresh eggs from their chickens, fresh jams, and jellies they had made and you met very nice people. We thought it was...

    Thoughts on Harvest Hosts

An alternative. I wish they would start building new RV parks with large screen sitting at your recreation vehicle and watching outdoor movies, on a big screen. Comparative to bringing back outdoor theaters. Can add many amenities as well from yester year! Bring back history!

Where were you with your NEWMAR today?

We made it to Yellowstone's Edge in Livingston, Montana. I met up with @NWIP in Nebraska and followed them here. We had a couple of great Harvest Host stops which I will post even though I'm not there TODAY! OH and who goes there .... could that be @NWIP in front of me!

Where were you with your NEWMAR today?

Stayed at a wonderful Harvest Host in Atkins, Arkansas a couple of nights ago....Paw Paw's Pecan Farm. The absolute quiet and peace of being parked between the rows of pecan trees was truly uplifting. Charlotte and Billy were kind and welcoming hosts. The fudge and the pecans, plain, brittled...

    Need advise

Thanks Rich for the response. The wife and I are planning to travel for a year after I retire. We’re already members of Harvest host but was hoping to tap into other member discounts. Yes, boon docking is an option (no Walmarts though) but I want it to be safe. Thanks again for your insight...

Leaving Parking Lights on at Rest Stops?

We’ve done Harvest Hosts several times and try to when we can. Sometimes we just want to make a quick stop, eat diner, hit the bed and then get back at it and get to the destination.

Do you plan all stops in advance? What tools do you use?,

I did something a little different this trip. Doing approximately 5K miles in two months. I use Travel Wizard mapping software, I put in my leaving and arriving destinations. Then I get that route and log on to Harvest Host. If you are not familiar with Harvest Host log on to website...

    How To Testing solar panels

... but they told me simply throw a towel over each panel and watch the PV drop on your phone. So today as I'm boondocking at a Harvest Hosts overnight in the heat, running both AC's on my new dual Victron inverter setup, 4 x 330ah Victron batteries, NO GEN... I should test the panels. I...

    Harvest Host members

...not accommodate us, only because they were hosting a wedding and just didn't have room. But, the fabulous experiences we have had with Harvest Hosts far outweigh that one. Super program, and as long as it's available, we will continue our membership. We always call ahead to make our...

parking lot stays Albuquerque, New Mexico

There is a Cabela's off of 1-25 north of the city. Also a Cracker Barrel off the San Antonio exit. If you are harvest host members, there is a brewery just a bit east of the Craker Barrel. These will only work for you if you are traveling on 1-25 and not 1-40

Where were you with your NEWMAR today?

Hi Rich: Nice score. We will be leaving for a western tour this Sunday. We booked three stops with Harvest Host so far. One Winery, One Brewery, and a Honey Bee Farm......LOL HH

Where were you with your NEWMAR today?

Pine Bluffs Distilling in Pine Bluffs, WY was a great Harvest Host Stop. If you go there, be sure to get directions because your GPS will not get you there. 😂 Thank goodness I was following @NWIP who had been there before. Fun stop. No food other than potato chips. Lots of cocktails and merchandise.
