Everyone has their own opinion - mine is that extended warranties are a great business … for the warranty company.
We have saved huge amounts of money over the years saying “no” to warranty offers. Have we spent some out of pocket on repairs? Yes, but a whole heck of a lot less than the combined...
...probably several years old and the shake down is complete, i.e. it's settled in and stable. I personally would not recommend an extendedwarranty and definitely not anything from Good Sam. Make an annual trip to Newmar as needed and new it up as you wish.
Some here do get extended...
This is my first post on RVForums.com. My company is in the loan and service contract business. If we can help in anyway, please let me know. We do also offer loan services if you are in need. We work with lenders that do have different appetites' for the type of buyer. Also, buyers are...
I'm new at this, so please be gentle :)
We recently bought a 2016 HR admiral and I'm really interested in thoughts about extendedwarranty plans, more than about the rig itself, (although that info is welcomed).
Being new to this lifestyle, asking for recommendations on rv memberships/extendedwarranty companies/road service. Is Good Sam worth it? Thanks in advance
Like new condition. Kept under shed since new. Transferable extendedwarranty that runs through 1/2028. I also have a current history report I can send upon request. This fifth wheel has it all. Digital console that can be accessed with phone app. Residential refrigerator, king bed, 3 tV’s...

I'm closing on a used Tiffin Allegro Open Road 34TGA today and just got hit with an offer by the loan broker: Protective Asset Protection policy, conveniently funded through an increased monthly payment of $50. The coverage is vague ("heating/cooling system" "waste system) etc Details ie...
The only extendedwarranty I purchased was when we took delivery of our new Newmar 4369. It was a Cornerstone ESP that covered everything except the engine and drivetrain. I figured the engine and drivetrain were covered several years out with Cummins/Freightliner factory warranties. If I...
...2,000 miles. Hate to sell but we are building a vacation home.
Currenly under Factory Warranty AND Good Sam GOLD TRANSFERRABLE EXTENDEDWARRANTY good thru June 15, 2026
With the Reese Straight Line Distribution System coupled with the Dual Cam Sway Control, you hardly know the trailer is...
...and most likely our last so we went for Winnebago. Top of the line, right? It's a major lemon. At purchase we declined 3 year extendedwarranty for $5,000 (16% of purchase price). Do to all of the problems, we were offered 3 year warranty for $4,000, then $2,768 from sales manager after...
Unless I get pleasantly surprised tomorrow when presented with the bill, it’s all on my dimes, quarters, Lincolns, and Franklins. They have said nothing to me to make me believe otherwise. I’m a little put out that a 2.5 yr old component would fail so catastrophically, but HWH appears to be...
...windshield miles. It has spent the past six months either in the repair shop or in storage waiting for a repair appointment. I did not buy the extendedwarranty, and have spent $9k in repairs. And 2 of the 3 slides still do not work. Read the warranty very carefully, there are allot of...
Good luck with all that. Definitely beyond what I would tackle - I’m impressed. Are you out of warranty or did you just give up on the “experts”? Take some pics…
...pieces went into the bathroom and some all the way to front door. Luckily I was not hurt, just stunned. Of course when I told the extendedwarranty company, Compass about it: they said I dropped something on it. That was crazy and the photos show differently. When I pressed the issue, they...
...RV and will be picking it up next Friday (see profile for info). We have camping experience but this is our first time in an RV. Looking forward to lots of time on the road. Im looking for any suggestions for accessories and extendedwarranty items that folks might have. Great to meet y'all...
...evidently adhesive failure. Grand Design and Furrion state we are past the warranty period, so we are left on our own. A bit past the one year warranty period, yes. MUST everyone purchase an extendedwarranty because the product won't last? Anyone else experience similiar product failure?
I probably wouldn't have bought one myself, but one came with my coach when I purchased. So far, I'm liking the fact that it's there.
On some of these rigs, it doesn't take long to run up a tab that exceeds the cost of the extendedwarranty. Of course, it can go the other way too.
...Last year during a 5 hR drive with temps in he low 100, we blew the pressure relief valve on the underbelly propane tank. Our extendedwarranty paid for the repair and replacement of the blown valve. Today , while returning from a 4.5 hR trip, with temps of 103, the same thing has happened...
