Not to throw a wrench into your thought process, but I just discovered that Vertical BikeRacks are also a thing. Take a look a the Yakima Hangout 4, Velicorax and Altaracks. I think these are perfect going going between the toad and MH.
Nice work, make sure they are locked up as if that bike rack was Fort Knox!
Consider a 2-channel (forward/rear) dashcam in your toad so you can also have dashcam monitoring of the bikes. I have one in my toad.

The Kuat NV 2.0 which I have also has an integrated, keyed cable lock for each bike, so you can lock your bike to the rack, which can be locked to your hitch, to prevent theft if you are stopping somewhere for a bite or overnight.
At this point it probably seems like I work for Kuat but I...
Do not mount anything to the bumper. I don’t even think I could stand on it without bending it.
in my opinion, You should be able to mount a two bike rack to the frame without a problem. Just a count for the extra weight when you’re loading your trailer so you don’t put too much weight on the...
I use a receiver-type rack that came with my old D250 Dodge. It's not pretty but it works great. The truck has 2" receivers front and rear, so if I'm towing the bikes go up front. The rack is built out of heavy gauge steel with good welds so I don't worry about it breaking. Up until now it's...
I will have to try some of these load & ramp techniques. I’m 80 years old and have neuropathy that has limited my strength & mobility. I know 60 lb is out of my range. I think if I can get the bike close to 40 lb & use the one wheel at a time lift it will probably work for a while. Hopefully...
...& type of travel trailer has a 30A service.
I also learned that the overall length or exterior length measurements are from the rear bumper to the hitch, and do NOT include rear bikeracks, spare tires, etc. This kicked the Surveyor off of my list, which was unfortunate as i liked that trailer.
I was reading about e-bike conversion kits and saw a way to resurrect the old Specialized Hard Rock that's collecting dust in my garage. It's a 35 lbs. bike (with front and rear racks and full water bottles) and is built like a tank. I used it for recreational riding and long-distance touring...
Here's my setup. Not sure how it would work with a rear radiator. It would be better if it was made to shift away allowing to check fluids, etc. My Thule 2 bike rack locks the bikes and a threaded bolt with lock on it's end secures the rack.
About about 2 weeks ago, we had an unfortunate incident with our Kuat NV2.0 bike rack.
I was taking the kids out to do some light trail riding and had my daughter’s, son’s and my bike strapped in, ratcheted down and secured to the bike rack.
About 20 minutes into the drive, we suddenly head a...
OK.......I interpret your rant as wanting a mid-size fifth wheel, 1/2 ton towable camper, with room for a motorcycle.
Just how big of a bike? You mentioned a lift, so that sounds like maybe a mid-size bike, say 500-650 CC's?
Either way, I think you're asking for too much. The weight of the...
Thanks for the reply. That would have been a good option however, I gave our aluminum Trec bikes to our son a couple of years ago. I’m starting with blank sheet. Appreciate it.
I have a similar problem except I have four bikes to carry. A 29” and 24” mountain bike, the wife’s beach cruiser and an 18” kids bike. Right now we have a Yakima Four Timer platform bike rack on the back of the truck which works fine but it would be nice to be able to put all of those bikes on...
Well as I view things, the 200 lbs are not the only thing to consider. Most bikeracks I've seen while attached to the bumper actually place a moment of arm aft of the bumper. So there is the twisting moment to be considered. If the weight is 200 lbs and the moment applied is 12" aft of the...
They are 750 watt folding fat tire bikes from BPM Imports. We used to put them in the back of our suv. We now use a Thule Easyfold bike rack on the back of the motorhome. I use a Roadmaster 10” drop/rise dual receiver adapter for the bike rack and our tow bar. We love the setup and the bikes.
