    Purchase new or not.

We bought a used DS from NIRVC in Lewisville and have been very satisfied with them. If you do not have a salesperson I would recommend Kimberly Daly, she did a good job for us. I’m not a fan of extended warranties at all, however in this case we made an exception and are very glad we did. The...

Head gasket replacement in Newmar Ventana - ISL 9

We extended FL warranty for our 2017 DS. Cost to have extended to 5 years and 7 years on the axles was approximately $1700. It is transferable but not refundable upon sale of coach. Yes it is based on date of purchase.

    Extended warranty info

...to have you here. As to extended warranties, I don't like betting against myself! That's basically what you are doing with an extended warranty. You are betting that the company will pay out more than you will pay in premiums. I suppose that may provide some peace of mind regarding a...

Full wall slide fail!! 2020 DS 4081

Update on the full wall slide actuator jamming situation: The entire actuator assembly for the aft end of the slide will need to be replaced. HWH is providing the parts and return shipping for the broken actuator on a goodwill warranty at no charge. I could not be happier with the support and...

Newbie with a extended warranty question

If it were me I would try to get a 90 warranty on it for nothing from the dealer, then depending on the miles and/or maintenance records probably wouldn't buy an extended service plan.

Should you purchase a extended warranty?

Look around. Brokers can offer a lot more for a lot less. I am in the process of buying a used rig, and have been researching plans. MANY out there. Good Sam wanted 16k for 5 years through the dealer, I got better coverage for 7 years for 6,100.

...coach by vin but each coach has a coach number, typically 6 digits that they typically use for referring to your coach. As to the extended warranty you can search this forum for opinions. My opinion was and is to not do it. Spend the money on a RV inspector in a pre-buy instead and then...

Extended warranty companies and most RV dealers can recommend a qualified RV inspector for you. I'd budget around $400-$500 for that.

    Question Extended Warranty

You don't say wether your RV is a new 2022 or used. If it is new you should have a 12 month factory warranty that came with it, Or if used possibly the balance of the previous owners warranty. In any case you'll be able to purchase an extended service contract from one of many that are out there...

Purchase extended warranty on used Winnebago?

Thank you all for your honest, and valuable feedback. Without a doubt, we will not be purchasing the extended warranty from the Seller. Have a good day everyone!

...pre-owned would be more affordable than new. It might be worth it to go that route. One disadvantage would be no warranty on the unit except for the engine & drive train(?). Do you recommend purchasing an extended warranty in that case? Have not looked into it, but thinking it might be pricey.

Question Protection package for new camper

...a REAL money maker for the Finance Manager when he's putting the hard sell on you to buy all that crap. :ROFLMAO: If you want an extended warranty I'd ask the dealer if they offer any AFTERMARKET extended warranties. I know at the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealers that I sell to now, they...

Should you purchase a extended warranty?

I shop around before buying the extended factory warranty. I've done this on my new ram trucks. My dealer offered me the warranty for 3900.00. I shopped via internet and could buy the exact factory warranty for 1900.00 On closing the deal I showed the difference in the price and they agreed...

The only one I can think of is for the Freightliner Chassis. Hope I'm not making a mistake by not getting it.....

Question Protection package for new camper

...And the cost is usually pretty high with lots of fine print making them a lot less useful than you thought when you bought it. I'd pass on most of the extended warranties, unless you're buying a Class A with tons of electronics and a $100k drive train. THEN I'd buy the extended warranty for...

Looking for warranty recommendations for RV and Tire/Wheel

When we had our Newmar we did purchase a Cornerstone extended service contract. My thinking was there was just so many things that could go wrong on a 43' all electric DP and I wanted close to full coverage after the 1 year manufacturer warranty expired. Never used the ESP. Newmar covered a...

    New 5th wheel travelers

...have issues. Oh well now I know we will probably always have something needing to be fixed in 5th wheel. Glad we paid for an extended warranty. We moved to Northeast Oklahoma in 2020 from Hawaii. Quite a change. Wanted to travel since we have retired. We’re feeling much better pulling...

So new, I don’t even own a trailer yet!

I joined because I have questions about purchasing a travel trailer, which is imminent. Pros / cons to new / used, purchase extended warranty or not, look for a dealer with most locations throughout country? Etc.
