    Question Extended Warranty

We bought an extended warranty for the 2014 Ventana LE because we were not the original owners (though the coach only had 3,500 miles on it when we bought it). Newmar does not transfer the one-year coach warranty to a subsequent owner, though both Cummins and Freightliner did. That was the...

Question Do you do your OASIS service EVERY year?

Might not be the case when it comes to an extended warranty. On our previous coach the radiator sprung a leak after the mfg warranty had expired. This was a known problem but the extended warranty company would not cover the repair unless I could prove that I had serviced the radiator according...

    Rallies, Caravans, Events for 2023?

Hey now. I had a 200% increase in interest last year, well, one person emailed me about extending my vehicle warranty so I took that as an interested party. I was excited!

Buying used Class A— seeking advice.

Idea of older coaches having bugs worked out, depreciated and things is got its points. Yes maybe out of warranty but you can get extended warranty. I think your research has provided what manufacturer have a good reputation and would stick with that. May end up being 5 years old instead of...

Ford announces new EV F150 truck factory and some battery factories.

No way in this world I would buy the first production year of this thing. Give it about 3-5 years for them to work out the bugs in all this new technology. And BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!!! It'll probably cost $10k but it'll be worth it!

Question Do you do your OASIS service EVERY year?

Sure. Understood. I guess the question would be what actual item is. For example, you will see an oil change suggested for 6 months, yet not a single (honest) shop said that was necessary until a year at the soonest. I realize it’s a big gamble if you don’t do the research first.

Purchase extended warranty on used Winnebago?

So that is like, 39 hours of labor at 150 an hour. The rig is over a year old. Miles??? Drive train warranty, likely factory manufacturer warranty. CW reputation?

Thor Class C full time Living Questions

What specific model in the Thor line are you looking? Note that many of the Thor class 'C' motorhomes are not suitable for full time living. The interior materials are just not of a robust quality to stand up to living in full time. For example, most of the Thor class 'C' motorhomes on their...

    Extended and maintenance warranties

...I decided against it. Mine was $7,500. if you have that money set aside and growing in an investment, my thought is to forgo the extended warranty and pay for whatever breaks. If you are not good at saving or don‘t have the extra cash (just in case) then financing an extended warranty might...

Purchase extended warranty on used Winnebago?

First of all, IMHO that original purchaser didn't negotiate a very good deal on the extended service plan when he originally bought the RV. Secondly, a CW warranty is the last one you should purchase. Most of their stores are famous for doing shoddy work on rigs.

    Question Extended Warranty

...IF you have one or two claims, they usually pay for themselves! And until I bought the first coach, I had never bought any type extended warranty! But repairs, electronics, a/c units, and other replacement items, can get expensive in a hurry! Everyone's mechanical knowledge, ability, & needs...

Should you purchase a extended warranty?

...you can, but not very often. Again, I am from the Automobile world, not RV's. I really am not sure that RV Manufactures offer a extended warranty. Just know that most "automobile" extended "Service Contracts" have specific items they cover, IF it is not listed, it is not covered, so read the...

    Question Extended Warranty/Service Plan Providers

We got the extended because in “writing” it covers everything for 5 years. That is four years beyond manufacturer warranty. I do plan on doing a lot of my own basic stuff. However, I don’t want to pay out of pocket for my AC unit and labor to install. Our warranty covers more than a few...

    DEF pump and filter.....this time

Well at least Mercedes extended their emissions warranty. I’ve talked to FL and Daimler about it and of course they aren’t too keen on the idea, but FL is a Daimler company just like Mercedes. I’m not done with this but I admit it’s wearing me down a bit.

    Good Sam

We picked up the extended warranties on the appliances with our new coach - a/c, washer, dryer, refrigerator, etc. would not have in the house but being harder to get at it made sense to get those. May extend the drive train before the new runs out but probably not the rest of the house. My...

    Tire pressure monitors

...even ask about it when I ordered it since they claimed up to 60' range, but the extender says it should be used when the distance from the unit to the rear most wheels is 25 feet or more. I did ask about the extended warranty in my email to them, so maybe I will get it offered? Time will tell.
