    Tip Wy-fi

What I understand the T-Mobile gateway does manage your connection but doesn't throttle your connection while the T-Mobile hotspot throttles your connection plus it also manages your prime data. What I understand the differece is throttled will limit you throuhput even if the tower is not...

Is Starlink worth it for RVers?

That just doesn't make sense to try to figure out which connections are going to work best by watching Netflix or YouTube and see if they buffer or reduce the resolution. When I pull into the new campgrounds I bring up the Peplink BR1 and check all available connections with either speed test...

Is Starlink worth it for RVers?

I guess you do your way and I'll do my way. Since I have 4 ways to connect to the internet I not going to try one and see if it works during the day and during prime time and if not switch to another one. I start with my T-Mobile connection and if I'm getting 300 to as high as 500 plus on the...

    Tip Wy-fi

They say they are unlimited but read the small print. Most of these from the big three claims to be unlimited and have a priority amount of 50 or 100 gigs then throttled so slow you can't even load a webpage and barely will do email and that is their definition of unlimited.

Best WiFi hotspot? T-Mo, VZW, or ATT?

I have AT&T phones with 40 gigs hotspots, Calyx Institute T-Mobile Unlimited hotspots, and Verizon Grandfathered unlimited hotspots. I check all three at every campsite and there have been two locations that had not enough services to stream TV on all three. The majority of the time T-Mobile...

    Mobile Hotspot

Hotspots I have T-Mobile M2000 from Calyx is the best bang for the buck. It is not paid as go but at 750.00 for the first year and 500.00 for the 2nd year and beyond it is about the best deal out there. I stream TV and use between 400 to 800 gigs per month...

What do you like better in the Traeger over the Dave Crockett?

    Jeep won’t start after towing

I ask both BlueOx and Roadmaster if that is a problem and they both said they sell the majority of harnesses that are in use on Jeeps both with and without OEM LED and they have not seen a problem. I have OEM LED on my 2020 Jeep Rubicon and I have towed this jeep for over 15,000 miles the only...

Is Starlink worth it for RVers?

We have the RV service and were disappointed in the thruput. During the prime time speed test dot net was giving us around 1 to 3 in the evenings and maybe 10 to 20 during the day. In the area we are snowbirding in you can not order the residential version of Starlink says coming in 2023. I...

    Jeep won’t start after towing

I used the Roadmaster towing harness and also have a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon I agree with the above about the ACC/OFF button and found myself incorrectly leaving the switch in ACC. I also have a drop-in braking system that sits on the driver's floor I have found if I tow for two days in a...

    Hot water and heat

We have propane heat but also have heat pumps built into our AC units. We use the Heat Pumps when plugged into shore power and propane if temps are below 40 degrees or boondocking.

    Blue Ox tow bar question

I would do a google search for "BlueOx Tow Bar Failure" that might help you decide if you trust BlueOx. Read some of the replies on what they were told.

    Towing question

I would look at something a little smaller in the 35-foot range. Maybe a Grand Design Reflection 337 would be a nice fit. I

    Towing question

Here is an easy-to-use calculator that will show you the 20% and 25% using the weight off of the door tag you posted. Most of the standard floor plan with the rear living room and front bedroom will run about 22 to 23% loaded and ready to camp. The 2760 pin weight is unloaded and as you load a...

Rove R2- 4K Dash Cam Built in WiFi GPS

I would recommend one with a screen that shows errors and when it is recording. I had one that hooks WIFI to my phone and didn't have a screen to view and the SD card was corrupt and wasn't recording and I have no idea how long it was corrupt.

Buying a camper with issues help

Had a friend that bought an Airstream with a soft spot by the door and turned out to be totally off the frame and thousands of dollars with frame repair and the rest of the floor was in bad enough shape that wasn't soft but starting to rot. You never know till you pull it apart what the extent...

Is Starlink worth it for RVers?

We just got ours since the KOA in Davenport FLA is a dead spot for T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. It works OK and I get between 8 and 180 on the speed test depending on the time of day. It is interesting that in the first 24 hours, I got between 120 and 200 then after the first 24 hours I got...

    Towing question

You will need a payload of 3100 (20%) to 3875 (25%) plus the weight of the hitch and the people in the truck. Towing capacity uses 10% for TT and 15% for 5ers and you will never see those percentages in RVs and maybe see those percentages in cargo trailers, not RVs. I had a 1-ton truck with an...

Mishaps and Victories of my LADP

I notice you said level then slides. I got this from Newmar to deploy slides before level. Below is what Newmar sent me after questioning the policy of slides before leveling.

    The time will come

I you going to use one of these make sure it will work with your RV. I had one but there's enough flex in the suspension that it couldn't get the tire off the hub.
