The Blue Ox base plate on the Flex has exposed metal protruding from the front bumper. My thought is to design a "bumper' to insert into the tow bar attachment points to protect them from debris and damage should they impact something.
The design should be simple enough, affixing them to be...
Looking for a "nice" RV stop in the FT Lauderdale area. Something away form the highway but not too far. Been looking for awhile and decided on Aztec RV Resort.
It is the best rated in the area. The Encore TT park would be the most economical choice but this is a stop prior to spending a week...
Recently purchased a new EDC flashlight. Fits nicely in Manbag. Benefits are it will stay ready to use for an extended period of time AND top off my phone should the battery run low.
Nice case to avoid unintentional switching on in bag, killing battery. A common issue with other of my many...
There are folks that have installed high quality commercial grade solar panels on RVs.
What is the downside of using these panels vs ones designed for mobile applications?
Other than size, not sure how they survive vibration and stresses of roof mounting on a RV?
Just received a recall notification from Spartan regarding a potential steering gear issue. The IFS gear supplied by Meritor and RH Sheppard on K2, K3, K4 chassis can potentially lose power steering unexpectedly.
Apparently they have discovered foreign material internally in some units that may...

Enter the code and hold the top button for 5 sec sometimes works and other times it doesn’t.
Any thoughts on proper operation of this locking bar?
As an aside, the driver at...
Here is an interesting extension of golf ball tech. Speed of Air has been developing high performance pistons for industrial diesel for many years. They are now offering pistons for road vehicles.
Dimpled pistons for turbo and super charged engine makes some sense to me...
When the wire for the Hughes Bulldog surge protector was swapped note the ferrules and tinned ends of OEM wire.
Discussed this with a Hughes engineer and he indicated that the concern is that the wire remains secure in the fitting.
I’ve attached an image of the OEM wire ends.
Over the next...
Retrieved coach from storage this morning and unfortunately , when concierge was pulling it out a baggage door opened somehow!
Call Newmar for an appointment to repair/ replace door😪
Door bent back damaged the skin badly.
Added a longer wire lead to the surge protector. The existing wire had a square shaped tinned end to fit into the wire clamp in the surge protector.
Not comfortable leaving the loose stranded wire compressed in that fitting. Considering put a compressed ferrule on the wire ends.
Thoughts?
