    When the water softener goes unused…

    Random question. I know many of you have a water softener…I have a On-the-Go double and it works well, but with us traveling less, I have wondered if it is bad for it to sit unused (empty or filled with water) and could germs/bacteria build up in there? Or does the salt help prevent that...
