Not plugged in but no 110 working on side of bed when inverter is on. Will work with gen on. Any ideas?

Has it worked on the inverter previously? Are you sure that outlet is on the inverter circuit? In coaches more than a few years old, not all 120V outlets were on the inverter circuit.

Yes it did. My husband wears a CPAP. it worked all the way back from Florida to LA 1 month ago.

OK. Are there any other electrical circuits in the coach that exhibit the same behavior? I'm suspecting that one leg of the transfer switch from the shore power side is not functioning properly. That, however, would leave the other circuits fed by that leg not working as well. If that's the problem, then when the generator runs, both sides of the transfer switch function correctly and feed power to all circuits.

If the bedside circuit is the ONLY one that acts this way, then I am at a loss to explain the situation. Maybe one of our more experienced electrical gurus will have some other ideas.

If it's only the bedside outlet that is not working then potentially a lost connection to that outlet. If that outlet is on a GFI circuit it could also be the GFI has tripped.

Except that it works when the generator is running.

Yup missed that.... Never mind what I said

It seems like you have an inverter with pass thru mode..so the outlet is working with generator or external shore power, perhaps...but the inverter isn’t switching over and INVERTING. T-Fuse on battery cable. Might check that inverter is turned ON. Look for popped breakers on Inverter casing... If you have an inverter display that can show faults...investigate the fault history.

Is this just the single outlet? or does the Microwave, (other inverter powered circuits) behave the same?

Nope No answers as described. My thoughts are run the gen and make sure that outlet is powered. I assume that the generator is powering one leg of 220/110? And the inverter the other???

There are truly to many options after PO makeshifts. I would get a circuit tester and find out what outlets work all the way through the coach, on what supply (gen, shore, inverter). Then get back with us. This is the secret of trouble shooting your electrical issues.

Only the outlet. We have a Silverleaf and the two inverters say "standby".
