Question 1997 Fleetwood Savanna 31G

I am looking for the weight specifications for my 1997 Fleetwood Savanna 31G trailer. The details on the plate on the tongue have completely washed off and I don’t have a manual. The dealer can’t help me and I can’t find any information on the Internet. Can anyone help me?

Have it weighed!
The hubs tell a story!

This is the formula!

5 lug hubs 3500lbs axel
6 lug 5000lbs axel
8 lug??? Will have to look it up.

Axel capacity is suspended weight.

Number of axles times axel capacity plus (pull trailer) 1/10th axel capacities.

Fifth wheel or gooseneck ad another 5%

That gives you GVWR.

GVWR minus empty (dry) weight gives you capacity for water, gas, and other supplies.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your useful answer.

My trailer is dual-axle with six-lug hubs.

So I calculate the following:

Suspended weight = 2 x 5000 = 10,000 lb

GVWR = 10,000 + 10% x 2 x 5000 = 11,000 lb

I've included both axles in the GVWR calculation. Is that correct?

How do I calculate the maximum hitch weight?

10% for pull trailers
