Hi, I'm new to 5th wheel towing and have a question. I have a chance to purchase a 2013 Ram 3500 Diesel DRW at a good price. I have been looking at the math equations on how to figure out how much 5th wheel I can tow but 4350 doesn't sound right. I'm looking at a toy hauler that weighs 17k dry and I just really don't trust the salesman "You'll be fine". I'm sure this question has been asked before but I didn't see it in the forum search.

Thanks,

Tom in AK.

Not sure how you came up with 4350 lbs but a Ram 4500 dual rear wheel diesel will carry that much weight in the back seat. lol. I think you'll see by the info in the link above that 17k pounds is nothing. A diesel DRW 3500 will tow between 20,000 and 29,000 lbs. depending on the rear gear ratio.
