I would like to removed the wheel simulators on my RV. I understand two of the lugs are real and marked with indentations. The rest of the lugs are permanently attached to the simulators. My wheel size is 275/70R/22.5. What size sockets do I need? I have also heard some of the coaches came with a tool specifically for the wheel simulators. If so, where would they store the tool in the coach? TIA
Chuck

Got it ..... a 1 9/16th socket fits the simulator lugs on my 275/70R/22.5 wheels. New tires tomorrow. Once they are on and balanced I will reinstall the simulators. We are taking off for Montana in a couple weeks and didn't want to challenge 7 year old tires.

It would be nice to share a picture of what you're talking about as some of us, self included, are not sure what a wheel simulator is.

Also, where did you find the best deal on tires? Are you taking it somewhere or are they coming to you?

Its easy. Wheel simulators are simply fancy hubcaps. They are held onto the wheels with two lug nuts. All the other lug nuts are fake. I took the "hubcaps" off to clean/polish and to make it easier for installation.

I bought all six tires from GTT Commercial Tires here in Richmond VA. Price includes installation. New & Used Truck Tires | GTT Commercial Tires | Richmond, VA

I doubt I could do it myself but I learned a lot about RV tires today. In and out in less than one hour with 6 new tires. Next stop, balancing with a front end alignment.
