Hi all, I'm James and am just about to finalize / pick up my new TT.
I'll be searching past threads to see if the questions I have, have already been addressed. Thx!

A buddy of mine had a Lance travel trailer he bought new. He really liked it.

We were very close to getting this same model brand new, seeing this is our first RV and listening to our friends who've been doing this for years, they all said the same thing, get something decent so we can learn what we really like/want so our next one will be a more informed decision. It makes sense, and for a 5 yr old unit that was hardly used that we found for more than half the cost we decided the used one would check the boxes. I'm now scrambling to learn as much as I can! The initial feedback our friends have said is, we got lucky to find the type of TT at the price point we did! Can't wait to take it out!

Sad thing about my pal with the Lance. His wife was kind of tight, still is. They always went to Ft. Myers and liked it. Left there one winter early to check out Texas for a few weeks because it was supposedly cheaper.
70 year old guy driving a big box truck crossed the center line on a 2 lane road in Texas and hit his 1/2 ton Ram pulling the Lance head on.
He was killed instantly, his wife was in the hospital for about 8 months.

It was an immediate wreck, no skid marks from either one. He probably never knew what hit him. When I saw the pictures at first I thought that wasn't him and it was a mistake because his truck looked like a small suv and the trailer was unrecognizable.
