If you're looking for a cellular setup for your RV such as a Pepwave unit that I use and highly recommend, I'd have to say in 2022 and beyond I cannot recommend anything less than a CAT 18 setup unless budget doesn't allow. CAT 18 and higher cellular radios have two additional antenna connections giving you 4 cellular antennas and what's called 4x4 MIMO. Without getting technical it will help pickup weaker signals and also offer faster speeds. I'm of the mindset do it right the first time, you'll end up spending more buying wrong the first time added to right the second time.

I've been using Pepwave and other products since CAT 6 radio days and they are all fine. But CAT 18 or better is where you should be when buying today. There are a lot of options out there, take a hard look at getting the right unit that will last you years ahead and offer the best connectivity and performance for your money.
