I took a drive up along the Peak To Peak Highway in Colorado between Ward and Nederland. I brought my dSLR, but haven’t gotten to editing those pics. I snapped this one with my iPhone.

First day of fall in Canmore Alberta Canada. Hardly anything happening yet. A few Trembling Aspen and Larch just starting to turn. Give us two weeks and we should have a nice show. Picture one points West (towards Banff). The Bow River is in the forground. Ha Ling Peak on the left. Whiteman's Pass center and The East End of Rundle Mountain on the right. Picture two points south.

I guess I'm a little disappointed in our fall colors this year. I went for a bit of a walk looking to see what there was. Not much. My neighbors Larch has already lost 50% of it's needles. The photos show the Bow Valley looking east from the Georgetown Trail overlook. The town of Canmore (our current home base) is in the forground but it is hidden by the forest. It is there. Next year we expect to be down east where there is a lot more color.

I’d still love to be in the Canadian Rockies this time of year. My wife grew up in Rocky Mountain House, so we do have reasons to go that way.

In 2012, we were up there for the Banff Mountain Film Festival, and a great memory of that trip was running on snow while I was training for a race in Hawaii.
