I have a 2017 SportTrek ST282VR, this past weekend I took it camping I noticed that the bed was soaking wet when I looked at the a/c unit over the bed I noticed brown water stains on the vents. the filters have been cleaned not too long ago. we have had some pretty heavy rain in the last few weeks. also when the rv is home I keep it plugged up so the a/c and refrigerator can keep working . This is the first time that I have had this problem any ideals what might cause the water to leak? Thank you in advance.

Water condensate should have a drain hole/tube on the roof for it to run off. Might check to make sure it’s not plugged. If it’s rain water you’ve got to check the mounting & gaskets sealing the unit to the roof.

First thing I would do is go up and pull the cover and check the drains (both of them) and see if they are plugged. I'm guessing the A/C is ducted since you said vents, so that points to drain problems. Also, does the coil ice up?

I have never seen it icing up but that gives me something to check.

Pull the filter out when it is running. The coil you see is the evaporator which cools the air and dehydrates the air passing through it. You may see some sort of a drip that indicates a drain plugged. That is when you go up top and pull the cover to unplug both of them (one each side of the evap coil). If it was icing up you would see a hard, clear ice on the coil. A white frosty ice says lack of air flow.
