2022 Cedar Creek 345 IK. Thermistor in living area picks up heat from sun( even though blind is pulled) coming thru window causing A/C to run continueously. Anybody else having this problem?

It’s a known problem in some Newmar coaches like ours. Incompetent installers mounted the sensors to the outside wall. When the sun hits the wall, the AC runs non stop.

Same problem here.

I have read the installation instructions that come with every AC unit. They explicitly caution for the sensors NOT to be installed on outside walls.
But the "highly trained professionals" do it anyway?

Thanks for input, but did you reach out to Forest River (Newmar) and ask if sensor can be moved to another location in RV. My Cedar Creek is still under warranty, so I would like to get this issue resolved quickly, if it is possible.

The sensor can be mounted anywhere you can get a wire to it. But don't expect FR to bend over backwards for a problem that does no exist in their minds. Does it work? Yes. Is it broken? No. What's the problem? It is working as designed.....temp goes up, AC cools you down......What's the problem.....You see where this is going......Your most efficient use of your time is to find someone that can move it to a more appropriate location. Maybe this will work? I will study it a bit more. Wireless Thermostats

It would appear to only work in heating applications....bummer.
I have reached out to the company to see if they have a solution....seems like a common problem looking for a solution.

After discussion with dealer, and dealer with FR, the sensor was disconnected and a new one was installed at different location in living area of RV, at no cost to me, and now A/C works as it should. Thanks to Carolina RV of Myrtle Beach SC
