Do you generally purge the ABS valves on an Air Brake vehicle at startup?
Listening to various startup processes one that included purging the ABS valves sounds like a good practice.
Hold foot on brake, with full air pressure then turn key on you will hear, hopefully, all wheels blow off air. This empties are chamber of any accumulated debris and clears screen at valve of debris.
Sounds like a good practice at the start of any day.

In Spartan Academy they mentioned this, turning key on and listen for 6 purges. Also mentioned the slack adjusters, 2 hard applications of the brakes when leaving the campsites adjust brakes if needed.
