We are in the market for a new 5th wheel. Our current 5th wheel has a dometic AC. It’s cools ok but is SO loud. We have seen a few 5th wheels that have the whisper quiet Coleman. Are these ACs actually quiet? Do they cool?

Direct cool ac are loud. Not much difference between brands. Certainly not enough to swap a working unit.

Had the Wackonon our previous pull behind and made a world of difference. You could actually talk to another when the AC was on

Little story.
When I visited family years ago, I had two stops. My Mom's, and my brother's houses. When spending the night at my moms I would be awakened by the ac when it started. If I spent the night at my brother's, a solid night of sleep was the result.

For those that didn't know, I had to leave the boat to visit, I didn't have such luxuries on the boat.

Why was I able to sleep at one house but not the other???
My mom's ac was on the roof, my brother's was a split!

If you want quite as I do consider giving up some basement and get a dual zone inverter mini-split installed!!!
