Just looked at a 2019 Sporstcoach srs365 RB that I am in the process of buying. I found a receptacle on the side that says "SOLAR". Do I have to add anything if I want to buy a panel? I've heard about control panels and that, but never paid much attention. Not that we do a lot of boondocking, but it could come in handy if we do.
Thanks

Does the vehicle have any documentation that comes with the sale to help answer this question? A solar charge controller can be retrofitted if you don't have one. Changing out every lamp in the coach from incandescent to LED will also be highly recommended.

A larger system of batteries will also help if you do consider off grid camping.

Check out your specs here Sportscoach SRS 365RB Class A Diesel Motorhomes by Coachmen RV

For information from the horses mouth. Seems there should be a 100w panel on the roof with some (Not much) ability to expand.

After looking at some smaller TTs at the Tampa RV show last week I was shocked to see how many units under $35,000 had at least a 200w panel on the roof as OEM equipment.

Thanks for all the information.
I'm not sure what kind of information will come with the rig. Hell, we went and looked at it yesterday at the dealer, and saw that it had some things that were not listed in the ad from Camping World.
I was just kind of curious.
Could be another nice surprise..

We have a '17 Leprechaun and I have a 100w Solar Panel with a controller plugged into receptacle when not the RV. Keeps the house batteries charged.

Thanks for all the information.

We purchased both of ours from Camping World and both times didn't get all the information needed. First purchased a Class A from the local Camping World, they didn't mention the tear in the roof or the crack in the fresh water tank. They sheet they had completed on delivery show bot were checked off as fine no issues, when approached they initially refused until I called the Corporate Office. The local store called three days later to arrange a time to fix all the issues. Our current one was purchased from a CW store about 100 miles away. They went through the everything from the roof to the frame. All was good the only item they didn't know about was the Electrical Management System (EMS). The only thing I had to learn that from the a factory technician at the annual Coachmen Rally. When I went back to have it winterized, I informed them and they didn't even know Coachmen had an EMS. My feeling is that if your are going to sell an RV you should have all the necessary information about that brand handy and know it. If you don't then you should be able to find our and pass it along to the customer.
