Not my understanding. Lots of $500 refundable reservations. Those reservations were made when the expectation was that the first model released would be a lower trim $160,000 version. That model is still in the plan for 2026 and current reservation holders have first right of refusal for those models when production begins. So right now current reservation holders have the right to exercise their reservation for the higher trim AE.1 Cosmos. That is what I did last week so I have placed a deposit on ship 4 of 50. Given the price I suspect anyone without a reservation today could sign up now and get the AE.1 Cosmos. The founders are from Tesla so the are using some of the approaches used by Tesla introducing new models.
