Apple is really testing the "moved my cheese" theory lately and many hate the new Photo's app, much of which you can fix by going to Customize at the bottom of Photo's and turn the nonsense off. With 18.2 that just came out they moved the cheese again with the mail app and notifications. So I'm sharing a post I just found in my X feed that may help others here to get things back to the way it was if you need/want.

Thank you. More Smart Phone making me feel dumb.

Apple intelligence is counter-intelligence!

I've learned a few things since my marriage to Apple in 1985.

  1. Change is almost always considered blasphemy; from Macs with more then 64k of memory, to getting rid of the floppy disk, to abolishing a stylus and/or keyboard on the iPhone. Kinda fun to see what they do next to disrupt the norm!
  2. Rarely do major system updates NOT have significant interface changes.
  3. Every update makes a lot of people upset...since they had JUST gotten used to the old system.
  4. Apple, whenever possible, will provide a method to let you continue the "older" interface...at least for a while.
  5. In the long-run, the changes usually end up being better.
  6. Most importantly...Apple is always right! (LOL...had to say that...it's good for my stock!)

Sooo...I kind of look forward to every update, IN HOPES of finding something that's been changed...almost as a BRAIN-EXERCISER...that's FREE and keeps my mind work'n. And, aside from STUPID emojis, or lack of the good ones, most of the changes keep me engaged with a "hey, that's cool" intrigue. Although, I will say I wasted a couple hours exploring the new "AI Playground" and fail to see any use for it.

Now, let's see...where was I? Oh yeah...back to watching Brandon's video...he's really good!

Enjoy the incredible gift of tech...not a day goes by when I am in awe at what it can do!
