As the title says...are you aware of ID.me and how you can use this to get discounts you may not realize are available to you? It offers the ability to identify that you are a veteran, first responder, alumni, nurse, and various other areas that businesses may recognize and give you discounts. For example, Apple gives discounts, Fenix lights offer a nice discount as I just bought a few things from them and I just discovered LG has a partner program, as they call it that I just saved a good chunk of money on a new computer monitor.

So when making purchases, check the vendor's website and during checkout you may be surprised to see an ID.me section, let it ID you and you may get a nice discount from what this program recognizes.

We were at a restaurant and asked our waitress if they had a discount. The manager said no but told the waitress to give us free desserts. Always ask!

I usually forget to ask about the veteran discount.

Appreciated when it is available.

Some places are great about it - motorcycle trip with a bunch of other couples, a restaurant took 10% off everyone’s meals even though I was the only vet. Waitress got a really nice tip that night.

Yes that’s where we got the GE Advantum for the coach, better price than Lowe’s with military discount

No, we're not any of these recognized professionals, just hard-working faithful taxpayers for the past 55+ years, supporting all those.
