I need info and opinions on a Braking Assist unit. I’m purchasing an ‘03 Monaco 42ft, towing a ‘15 Wrangler Unlimited. And using the Roadmaster Blackhawk tow bar. Do I need a brake assist on the Jeep? If so, my initial choice is the Demco Air Force 1. Any thoughts...?

Absolutely, you need a “braking assist” unit (aka “supplemental braking system”) when towing your Wrangler, both for safety and to be legal in most states. Among other things, if the towed vehicle ever breaks loose from the coach, the supplemental braking system will immediately apply the brakes and hopefully prevent the towed vehicle from striking another vehicle.

The Demco Air Force 1 is one of the top units out there and is used by many coach owners...including us. It is easy to use and very effective in both routine braking and emergency break-away situations.
