Hi all we just purchased a new camper and stayed for the first time over the holiday off the grid.
My question is we had a 100% charged battery at 10 in the evening shut off the generator the only thing running on the battery was the refrigerator and furnace. By 4 in the morning the battery was dead, is that all the longer the battery should last? It’s a deep cell marine battery.

You have one battery? It sounds like the load you had on it was too much but we need more information. How many batteries and what type and amp hour rating? What type of refrigerator and furnace?

And what's the battery voltage 12.3 its dead 12.9 its fully charged yep you need a volt meter of some sort to even start to figure out what's going on.

I am guessing you have the standard provided 80 amp hour battery the dealer gave you. with a residential fridge and furnace running your not going to last long as you found out.
does your fridge run on propane?
one of your best options is a pair of true deep cycle 6 volt golf cart battery's or for more $$, lifepo4 battery.
this may be a touch dated but still good to read; The 12volt Side of Life (Part 1)
