I have 2 — 12V batteries on my fifth wheel. I’m looking for a charger/ maintainer that won’t damage the batteries. Anyone have a recommendation that they have had good results with? Thanks

Battery Tender has always worked well for me. Bunch of different models.

I bought this last year to keep my 2-12v chassis batteries charged when we're parked for an extended time since my coach doesn't charge the chassis batteries on shore power:

It worked good enough I bought another one for my GMC Terrain that we leave in the shop at home while we're in Florida for 6 months for the winter.

Was the 1 amp enough to maintain both batteries!

I haven't had a problem starting the motorhome since I did this, fires right up. Steps and awning also run off the chassis batteries and I use those a lot while we're parked.

What type of batteries? Flooded Lead Acid, Absorbed Glass Mat, Lithium Iron Phosphate or one of the other lithium types? It matters both for the life of the battery and reaching a full charge.

If you're going to buy anything, get a maintainer/desulfator.
When a lead/acid battery goes dead, (Never happens on an RV) sulfation builds on the plates and they loose capacity. I have brought batteries back to life using mine. I also use it just to keep all my batteries heathy. Works on all lead/acid types.
