It's probably the same as boat covers which I'm more experienced with. Looking for quality material such as sunbrella. Depending on the finish of your TT just be aware some people frown on covers as it could scratch a paint finish. Most importantly good wash/wax is important, if you have the option to store under cover that's an option as well.
 
If you live where dust storms are a problem a cover is better than covered parking because cleanup before use is less. The down side of covers are they can and do polish the paint off over time. foam rubber placed over wear points helps with the paint but is hard to judge where those points are.
