Getting ready for a trip I decide to check all the fluids (etc., I admit I don't ALWAYS do that) and I find a birds nest elaborately constructed atop a reservoir. I have seen some birds hopping around (rather than flying) lately the resemble a robin. Sadly I had to remove the nest and it's debris but noticed the easy access to my engine bay from below. The engine compartment is actually a pretty safe place to build a nest providing the owners don't use their motorhome. Also, there's no (easy) way to block that access. Guess I'll have to check the fluids every time from now on. Blessings

And under the slides if left out for an extended period. I found straw sticking out after I closed the slide, while doing a wLk around. When I re-opened the slide, there was a bird’s nest inside the opening where the ram is. A bit of a mess.

These rigs are a part-time job, requiring constant inspection, on top, on bittom and everywhere in between.

Every now and then I have found rat droppings on top of the Cummins (the coach is stored in the back corner of our yard behind a row of fruit trees). I have tried spraying peppermint oil on the engine and the the electronic high frequency signal units. The only thing that seems to help is traps. And I have no interest in using poison bait. Any suggestions?

Glue traps with peanut butter added always worked when I had a problem at a former house I lived in.
