I have a question about blocking out sun while parked in order to keep the RV cooler. I purchased my used RV and it didn't come with any curtains or anything to block the sun out while parked. Is there some sort of sun shade that is for RVs or any curtains that will block out the sun for purchase? I have noticed in all the RV parks that everyone has something covering their front windows. Some of the curtains look pretty disgusting though. Thanks for everyone's input!!

To best block heat, your shade needs to be on the exterior so that the radiation is blocked before it ever enters the coach. I would suggest looking at Magnashade. They are a little pricy, but most people who have them recommend them pretty highly.

Google MagneShade

X2 on MagnaShade. You might pay somewhere between $500 and $700 depending on how large your windshield is but for the best UV protection those are the absolute best IMHO. I would also consider getting an estimate for your front side windows at the same time. What is nice about them is you can still see out while camped, plus they are very easy to put on by yourself without using a ladder.

If you want to go a less expensive route to keep the heat out you can buy a roll of Reflective insulation at Lowes or HD 48 inch wide 25 ft long. The 48 inch width covers my entire windshield top to bottom. Then I drop my shades and you don't see it. One roll is about 45 bucks.

I'm also a Magna Shade advocate. Remember, you will still need some kind of window coverings for night usage. During the day, you can't see inside but at night you can. I would also recommend the Magna Shade wheel covers for easy installation.
