I am thinking of buying a travel trailer and can not decide if a toy hauler would be a good choice. I have a canoe and bicycle. The canoe is 13' long. I could not travel with it with a standard trailer and do want the bike mounted on the back of the trailer so every thief could see it (out of site out of mind). I will be boondocking some times. Are there any disadvantages to the toy hauler that I should be a where of? Problems?

Toy hauler is heavier than a standard trailer, but there is more room. I don't find mine to be any more of a problem than the previous 5th wheel that I had.

They are great for storage. The give and take is less living space VS more storage. Just asking because I don't know, will 13' fit have to fit crossways or are those areas really that long?

My garage is advertised at 11', and it is exactly 11' from the front wall to the back gate. I have a screen on the back which takes up about 1' so I actually only have 10' usable.
