I can only operate my slides when the engine is off. Is there an easy way to bypass the ignition lockout? My 2017 Ventana has the upgraded revision C controllers.

Yes.

I snipped the ignition lockout wires on the controllers today. I can now run my slides with the engine running. The slide motors make a higher pitched noise when working, which indicates to me they're getting more juice.

I have yet to do it, but I would recommend putting a wire nut on the exposed wire end coming out of the harness to keep it from a potential short against the frame. I'm sure it's energized when the ign is on.
