I bought a Renegade 45CMR last spring 2024. It is a truly an awesome rig, but the size limits its usefulness. I started my RV life seven years ago with an R-Pod tow behind, then moved to an Arctic Fox slide in for my F-350, next was a 40’ 2020 Jayco Seneca. The Renegade is beautiful and I get constant compliments on the paint job. It is a one of a kind paint job and it rides like the world’s biggest Cadillac. I bought it used with only 13,000 miles and it has every option available. But…it is too big for local use. If you’re driving it on the highways she is a dream, but exploring the back country of my home state, Idaho, it is way too big. I would love to buy a second smaller RV, but I hate the idea of the 45CMR collecting dust. I have to sit down and prioritize my desires and consider where I will be using it predominantly. Any words of wisdom are appreciated. Right now I am leaning towards getting it looking perfect and selling it for a Renegade Vera Cruz Off Grid. Of corse, I also have to consider my wife’s wishes.

Listen to your wife now, or listen to her later and later. Welcome to the forum.

Look at the paint on my coach(former)! Similar colors, and beautiful!

What a beauty! A shame you feel it's too big.
Re-assess after some fun seat time.

We had similar thoughts when we went from 40' to 44'. You wouldn't think that 4' would make too much difference BUT it is a completely different experience. For us, back roads are very much a challenge. Just not fun anymore.
Fueling is limited to truck stops as I do not enjoy wrestling around tight fuel stops designed for smaller vehicles.
The new rig drives completely differently due to a much longer wheelbase. Something to get use to and does limit campgrounds, many limited to 40' max.
Are we enjoying the new rig after learning how to operate/drive it, Yes, it just took some time.

Enjoy your new Rig, it is a beauty.

Also living in the great state of Idaho, we love exploring the mountains, back country and back road scenery, (as long as they’re paved.)
We consequently switched from a 55’ long truck/5th wheel combination to a smaller 36’ motorhome sometime back which works out great for our short month or less travels before heading back to our home base. The shorter 36 footer allows us to stop and shop at most stores and/or businesses should we need supplies or hardware items on our way to our next destination(s) whereas our previous 5th wheel combination was inconvenient and difficult to find a place to pull into and park when the need arose.
Even traveling to different states where we stay out for longer periods and not pulling a “toad” behind us isn’t an issue considering our coach’s shorter length and maneuvering abilities to pull into Walmarts, grocery stores or other places of interest. “Good luck and safe travels.”
