Hi all! First time RV owner and going at the full time life.

I also live with 2 small dogs. Accidents happen. I know carpet cleaning will be a thing.

I own a shampooer from my previous home. Is it worth keeping? Didn't know if I should use it being that RVs are obviously sensitive to moisture.

I'm in a 2015 Flagstaff bumper tow. What are your carpet cleaning suggestions for pet messes?

Not a recommendation on cleaning pet problems but carpet in RV is no different than a house. Still have wood subfloor so you don’t want to use excessive water. Shampooing can be done just like sticks and bricks

My wife and I were in the carpet cleaning bui for 50 yrs. Use only a professional steam cleaner to clean you Rv. Carpets. It will extract most of the moisture and contaminated
Items from them. We must have done many hundreds of rvs, yachts, and aircraft.
We were one of the first companies to use portable steam cleaners and then truck mounted cleaners. Never had a problem with moisture remaining to cause problems.
Drying time was very fast also.

This is what I use:
