Anyone ever remove a captains seat. Newmar King Air. I think it should be fairly easy but thought I would ask. 13/16 socket I believe, Tricks and tips welcome.

For me, (1999 Holiday Rambler Vacationer) the chairs were bolted through the floor on a metal plate with long bolts and lock washers. It took two of us, one in the RV and one under the RV to hold the bolt. I turned the wheels to one side in order to have easier access under the rig. You might be able to grab the bolt with a pair of vice grips at one end to make this a one-person job as well. Note that if your chair is powered, you'll some wiring to disconnect, and the chairs may fall over when the bolts are removed so be prepared for that. Lastly, you'll need to detach the seat belt, either at the wall or the side of the chair. Good luck!

Thanks so much. According to Newmar detach from the inside. We shall see!!!

@jagpot I suppose it depends on what portion(s) of the seat / mechanism(s) you are trying to remove. I removed the seat only, i.e. did not remove seat positioning (up, down, fwd, back) mechanism or the foot rest mechanism. So for just the seat there are 4 bolts 1/2 in wrench as I recall. Several wire connectors that also have to be disconnected from mechanism motors and input power harness etc.

I have not removed the entire seat including all mechanisms however based on what I see in my coach the choice would be either the nut you specified or 4 bolts that pass through the floor into the generator compartment. Plus a few connectors that provide power to the seat controls.

The entire seat needs to go back to Villa International here is LA. When you raise the foot rest something pops and your bottom falls into a hole. Can't ride in it anymore. Also none of the massage controls work.It needs new padding and a fix for sure.
