Hello, I am a first time poster on this forum and am looking for some help. We have owned a 2003 Roadtrek Popular 190 for 6 years and love our unit. I still get a thrill when I get a wave on the highway from other vintage Roadtrek owners. My question today is about the safety of infant car seats. My daughter and her husband want to borrow our unit, but have a 7 month old daughter.
We are trying to find out if it is safe to strap a backwards facing car seat to the third seat behind the passenger seat in a Popular 190. Canadian standards say an infant can't be in the front seat. Is the third seat secure enough for a car seat? My daughter and her husband are obviously concerned about safety, but I can't find anything that discusses this issue online. Any comments?
