Looking for advice on using a trickle to maintain batteries at our storage facility. We only have access to a 110 outlet and we are storing outside. Is there a product out there that can fill this need? Don the road will be adding solar, so looking for a short-term fix. Thanks

It would help us if you give us the specifications of your coach in terms of how many batteries, are they separated between chassis and house, etc.

My guess is that two separate “battery tenders” on each system will do you just fine.

Thanks Rick. That is interesting. So by not using the battery disconnect the 110 would flow into the rig and charge the batteries. Guessing I’d need to make sure there is very little if any other electrical pull for other parts of the rig.

I love the idea, but being in FL lightning is a constant threat and I can’t leave the external surge protector out. - would disappear in an instant for sure. Hmmmm.

The Batt Disconnect activates a relay that disconnects the house batteries from the charging control area, usually in your power bay. The charging controller usually samples the house bank before combining both banks (I'm not sure what Newmar uses in 2021, maybe a BIM or they have gone back to a BIRD - look in the bag of manuals?).
So if the house bank is disconnected, no charging happens. Making sure the Batt Disconnect is in USE and not STORE you will allow the charging system to work correctly. If this is controlled by something like Silverleaf it's way out of my knowledge and someone else can jump in on that.
End result is that 110V outlet has you covered.
