The wife and I are looking to retire next year and wanting to hit the road in a RV trailer. We have never owned one and have been researching RV’s. I want something well built that will accommodate longer stays in it, around 30ft and under in length. We own a 2019 F-150 with a 7700# towing capacity. I’m not against replacing the truck with something that has more towing capacity but would prefer not to. We have always done rustic tent camping and RV’s built with off grid in mind are in the 9000GVW category. Off grid isn’t a necessity but those RV’s seem ruggedly built. All of that to say I’m looking for advice on solid built RV’s . Something that will work for long term stays.

Look at the Grand Design Imagine, 2670MK. I am in an extended stay(7 weeks) in one right now. It is almost 30 ft. It will tax your truck to the max, but probably doable. And it depends on your needs in a floor plan.

Sounds like you might like an Airstream. Try YouTube KYD they travel in an Airstream around the nation.
