Cricket is secured with 2000lb straps. Wheels and across frame. Impossible for it to move unless Rv flips. I hopeIt looks like a good concept but I don't think it is secure enough IMO. I think you'll get a ticket if a LEO gets behind you.
Carrier is custom welded aluminum made for Mobil medical in Melbourne FL. Cricket weights 300 lbs. I have ramps for cricket from when I would put in CRV, they work perfectly with new carrier. I now don't have to take it apart to put it in CRV. Carrier weights 30 lbs. It has a special bolt with an aluminum block that goes inside shaft to keep it from moving in Rv receiver. Tightens up with lock washer and safety pin through bolt that is threaded through block. Reciever is rated at 500 lbs. It is bolted to rear frame and welded to middle cross frame just in back of drive wheels. It is truly a work of art. Doesn't effect handling at all. Have driven with it on all types of roads and interstate. I take off vynal top to prevent wind damage. Mobil Medical on US1 in Melbourne FL. Will be at Super show in Tampa if folks would like to see it. M m will be at show also.Interesting. How do you get it down?
Does it pivot on the central support, converting to a ramp?
How much does the cricket weigh and what is your tongue weight rating of you hitch?
Can you post a link to the carrier? Others might be interested in getting one as well.
Looks like a great solution for lots of things as long as you don’t overload it.
