Recently purchased used 2013 Bounder 38S with CAT 300. Went to check engine oil and found it was good but could not get the dip stick to return to the store position. Stops about 6 inches short of full return. Twisting, turning and moderate pushing did not work. Anyone have any thoughts. THANKS

Have you checked the tube where it enters the engine block? I had the tube come loose on a Cummins that kept the stick from fully seating.

You might try pulling the stick all the way out, rotating it 180 degrees and re-inserting it. Sometimes, they take a “set” and hang up unless put back in the same orientation they came out. Just a thought.
