In my recent trip through a winter storm I was just leaving the Boise area so I pulled over to remove my AutoSocks (like tire chains). It was probably a 3-4 lane road in my direction of travel with minimal traffic. Yet, cars unbelievably would not MOVE OVER. We know it's the law, and a giant RV on the side of the road is not hard to see from a distance. Without digressing and calling people...okay, not going there, it made me aware that I did not have a vest to help people see me. Something we RVers should probably have for roadside situations.

YES!!! We carry three; one each for LadyDi and I in our normal size and one big enough to go over a heavy coat if we get caught in a cold-weather situation and need one. This is what we have.

We also carry a set of these.

And, a set of these.

Some may think this is “safety overkill,” but we take safety seriously.

Yes, I have one of these for the exact situation you were in. Fortunately, the only time I've used it was on a couple of hikes. My wife could visually follow me from the coach a lot easier. I had several other hikers comment that it really made a difference and they could see me from a long way.

Edit: I forgot...on one of the hikes I also carried a holstered handgun, open carry. Several odd looks, but one guy asked me if I was a ranger!

SI senor. Bought one on the last trip in the fall. I need one for my truck, as well. Need to get one for my wife's car.

Yes - we carry 2 high vis vests. Fortunately, we have not had to use.

Yes, plus triangles plus electric flares. I thought it was law to have these things.

We carry two HiVis vests, Safety Cones, Triangles, Strobes, and flares. Just in case...

I carry three vests (got them for free) and a set of triangles. I don't understand why anyone would not move over if at all possible, but then again I saw a bunch (big bunch) of people driving in snow without headlights on....

No. But it's something I'm going to add to the "list".
