Looks like we going to have to move about 250 miles to a different campground and it's 21 degrees out. Can you run the PROPANE heaters while traveling to keep the basement warm so pipes don't freeze?

as long as your slides don't block the registers, and like @sanda mentioned, no gas stops while furnace is on

This was hotly debated at school. The consensus of higher ups was no. The rest of us nimrods said yes or maybe. Without more real world experience or proof either way, I am in the maybe camp. I would watch it like a hawk and keep a fire extinguisher on hand.

Normally will turn off all propane to travel and just makes sense but when the temps are in the 20 degrees or below pipes are going to freeze while you going down the highway for 6 hours. We were supposed to travel today but we going to wait till tomorrow and be a little warmer in Houston TX.
Not sure about these Texans wearing short shorts and sweatshirts in the chill factor is a plus 1 degree. Maybe they don't own any long pants.

Good news - We drove 250 miles with the furnace on and no frozen pipes and we are still alive.

It works well for me as I've done it for many years. We head South from Colorado in January every year and leave the furnace on until the temperatures get above freezing.
