Looks like they are trying to recover some of the costs of developing that electric car they canned, by creating a stronger vacuum to suck more cash from our pockets.
 
Over $1K for a vacuum ahhhhh no thanks. I could hire a maid for that price...LOL
 
I have a Festool midi vac that costs $600 or so. I bet it beats that Dyson all to *&^. My Makita 18v vac is hard to beat around the camper.
