Do the outlets "open" when the GFCI press-to-test button is pressed?

Rick

So . . . I'm not exactly following your problem here. Does a multimeter set to AC volts show power at the outlets or not?

Rick

There should be only one GFCI per circuit. You NEVER put more then one GFCI on a circuit. That is in the (NEC) National Electrical Code Book.
Do the outlets "open" when the GFCI press-to-test button is pressed?

Rick
Yes. When testing a GFCI by pressing the "Trip" button the, circuit will open.

Have the guy from manufacturer coming to look at it, walked us through a bunch of tests and says this has never happened in all the years he has been there.

Had the same problem. Turned out to be my inverter had tripped. You might consider checking the reset button on your inverter (if you have one 😉)...worked for me! Good luck
