Yes they are. Which dealer are you purchasing from?

Travel world of alaveado tx
Small world -- I live in Grandview, 1 mile from Alvarado. I assume you mean Holiday World?

Have you already made your purchase or are you still looking?

Did FPU on our 2021Bay Star back in July 2021 - while it is a considerable cost (which you can negotiate with your dealer as part of your overall deal), it was in my opinion absolutely worth it. To have the opportunity to spend three or four days with your own dedicated technician, both as a learning/training experience and as a troubleshooting/repair opportunity, was invaluable. The Newmar Service Center is first class, their staff was first-class, and their overnight "camp" area was excellent - having the opportunity to leave Newmar knowing that all of your "known" issues and problems have been resolved was well worth the cost, in my opinion. Would definitely do it again.

I ordered a 2022 Essex 4551 from NIRVC in BNA just before the price increase. I specifically asked for and received FPU. From what I've been told, I'm looking at a January build and FPU in March.

Congrats!! Can't wait to see the pictures when you get it.

Though some may disagree; "Factory Pick Up" is worth the money spent!

Why, you might say? Two examples below:

One: Our delivery experience; yes we spent the 5 days at Napanee, going over the Coach from front to rear, inside and out. There were 4 different things that needed attention, adjustment, or repair! The copy of the Repair Order generated while the techs were doing "FPU" prep & pre-delivery inspection; was NINE PAGES! Had Newmar not done these tings.....guess what....it would have required numerous trips to an awful selling dealer, in HOPES that the repairs were done! Since delivery, only FOUR items had to be addressed, & Newmar Techs took care of them at the Tampa Show, & the International! No real inconvenience!

Two: A friend bought & took delivery from a "DEALER"! Total delivery process was less than one day. They stay one night in RV park, & back to the Dealer with a "laundry list" of repairs. A couple of items taken care of then. I believe it was either 5 or 6 trips BACK TO THE DEALER, over a period of months, to supposedly get the rest done! Now out of warranty period, still a couple of items to be repaired/replaced! Plus the loss of the ability to travel, plus the time, aggravation, and EXPENSE of going back & forth!

Number "TWO" now feels that they would be money & time ahead, had they scheduled "FPU"!

Number "ONE", Me, knows I had a great experience at Newmar, & have enjoyed my travels & adventures, essentially, trouble free!

Now, which experience had you rather have??

And Yes, there are a FEW Dealers that provide an excellent Service & Delivery experience!

For me, I'll take "FPU" every time!

Good Luck, Safe Travels!!

I agree and had I not done FPU my RVer days would probably have not made it past a year as dealer trying to figure things out would have been painful.

FPU (CPU) all tells the same story. We have to pay $5K for Q/A because Newmar cannot deliver a quality product. If they took one week like FPU offers and have a tech focus on the coach and QA it would FPU then be necessary?

They should call dealers "completion centers"
