Hey all......Looking to buy a CLass A, or B or C.....

Things to consider:

-$25k or less budget
-27'-32'.....I prefer shorter than longer.
-going solo or as a couple
-wknd trips mainly, 300-700 mile roundtrips
-pulling a '16-20' enclosed trailer - total weight to be towed, less than 6000 lbs.
-won't be living in it or boondocking...... Mainly camping at racetracks and offroad parks for 2-3 days, once a month.

I'm mechanically inclined.....except for electric. lol. Grew up in a motorsports world and am still active in such.

I see the 8.1L GM/Allison trans in a workhorse chassis is well revered. The Ford V-10 seems to be the most common and works well too.

Georgie Boy, Holiday Rambler, are units that seem to have what i'm looking for except they seem to be on the longer side of my length scale.

This 2001 Damon Daybreak 2740 is very close to me.....$18k with only 7000 miles, 170 hours on onan generator.

Any RV's i should stay away from? I appreciate the help!

Most class A & C gas motorhomes have a towing limit of 5000 lbs.

We love our older 2005 Holiday Rambler Admiral 30' class A. They don't build them like this anymore. Aluminum sides and roof. Have had many trouble free years.

Although a friend just bought a used class C that has a 7500 pound tow rating.
