Hello, we have a 36' 1998 Fleetwood discovery.
The AC is short cycling only when going down the road. If it is idling it does not short cycle.
Comes on for about 30 sec and off for 10 sec. And continues to do this does anyone know what this e could be?

Good morning
My name is Dave
I had the same problem and I found the evaporator fins were plugged up and it was causing a vac in the air flow so it would short cycle. I used a foam degreaser and let it stand for the day then use a garden hose to was it out.
Not a pressure washer to high of pressure and you will damage the fins. Make sure the opening is sealed to the house part of the rv. And also make sure the drip tray drain is clear. Hope this helps

Do a search and you'll find many U Tube videos on how to properly clean and maintain your RV AC unit. Just be careful when you remove the exterior shroud, wasps like to build nests in it.
