I’m new and interested to all the experiences from people who travel in a trailer. My wife and I will appreciate all of your inputs on traveling to different places in a light weight trailer. We have a minivan can tow approximately 3500 lbs capability.

Welcome to RVForums @georgewtlocpa - great to have you join the gang here. Do you have any specifically you're looking at now?

Welcome.
Make sure the trailer is way below the 3500 lbs. Remember your weight is the trailer weight plus the 1,000 lbs of stuff you load into it. Also make sure you have a weight distribution hitch set up.

Don't overload that mini van. You don't have the brakes you need for a van full of people and a 3500 pound trailer pushing on you when you slam on the brakes in an emergency situation. Plan for the worst and hope for the best!
